Instructions for creating a Twitter academic research developer account

Twitter asks for this information:

1. Your full name as it is appears on your institution’s documentation

2. Links to webpages that help establish your identity; provide one or more of the following:

I. A link to your profile in your institution’s faculty or student directory

II. A link to your Google Scholar profile

III. A link to your research group, lab or departmental website where you are listed

Below are instructions on how to create I and II.

I. Create a UTD webpage:

• Create a personal webpage on UTD server:

• If creating a webpage from off-campus, first install and connect to GlobalProtect VPN (I believe this step can be skipped if attempting the same from campus)

o Note: After establishing an SSH connection, continue typing in the same interface and enter the command “makeweb,” then follow the rest of the instructions.
